Clean Sweep for Bellevue Volleyball Program
After a much needed few days off the Bellevue Wolverines were back on the court at Sammamish this Monday night. BHS rocketed out to a 10-1 lead behind 2 Callie Weber kills, 3 Weber aces, and 2 aces by Alexis Khuu. The Wolverines kept the pressure on and at 21-6, Carly Burns got the serve. She was able to serve out the game including 3 aces to take game one, 25-6.
Khuu started the serving in game two and behind 5 aces the Wolverines jumped out to an 11-0 lead. Abby Harden got a kill followed by a Mina Dedijer middle hit and the lead was up to 13-3. After a Holly Huard kill, Natalie Hayes got the serve and promptly dealt back to back aces. Jordan Meyers got a spike from the outside and the lead was 21-6. Julia Bray got into the act with a kill giving the serve to Jenna Keenan. Keenan finished off game two with back to back aces and a score of 25-8.
The Wolverines started off a little slow in game three but Sophia Knapp who rarely sees the front row got a kill to bring the score to 3-6. Hannah Geffe got a couple of kills to narrow the lead to 6-7. Naomi Chen-Mallouk joined in with an outside smash and BHS took an 8-7 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Khuu joined in with a kill of her own from a Taylor Eide set to make the score 13-8. Katie Sorrell put one away to put away the Totems with a final score of 25-14.
Weber lead the team with 7 kills. Khuu lead with 9 assists and 7 aces. Burns keyed the back row with 6 digs.
The Wolverines travel to Lake Washington Wednesday evening to take on the Kangaroos.

Win Over Sammamish is Sixth Straight
The JV Wolverines solidified their top spot in the Kingco 3A conference with a decisive win over Sammamish on Monday night.
Claire Seats started game 1 with a 7-point serving run to give Bellevue an early lead. Julianne Raman served an ace and Kelly Treves tipped one over as the Wolverines extended the lead to 20-9. Strong serving by Meghan Weber sealed the game 25-11.
Maggie O’Donnell started game 2 with a serve run of 5 points securing a BHS early lead of 8-5. Lillian Johnson played consistently well with good serves, tips at net and all round solid middle play. Mia Vong hit some well-placed shots to add points. Seats delivered solid serves followed up by perfect sets, and Hailey Cook delivered a kill to win the point putting BHS at 20-9. Livie McQuain served the match out to take BHS to a 25-10 win.
Bellevue dominated game 3. Good dives, communication and more excellent court coverage by the team put BHS in the lead 7-1. Jessica Buxton's back row performance was solid. Treves' serving rotation added 3 quick points, with the whole team pulling together for the win 15-3
